Has anybody ever used the Trol-A-Matic trolling plate. I have one that I got with the boat and was just wondering if it was worth mounting or is it no good?

Yes I have one on a 70HP, Starcraft Aluminum and like it a lot. It works well is durable and is user friendly. Remember though you lose some reverse thrust but I have not found this to be a problem. I have seen others post here that don't like it as well with bigger motors.

I had a trolling plate on my 18' Starcraft with 125 hp Merc . I didn't care for . I went out a got me a kicker motor for trolling It works much better!!!!
