View Full Version : Travel Cover
I am interested in getting a travel and storage cover made for my boat. I am looking for a shop that has a reputation for making quality products. Duluth or Twin Cities area is fine. Also, what fabric would you suggest? Thanks for your response.

In Duluth contact Proctor Canvas. They have done covers for me and some of my friends. They do excellent work. They are also very busy, so allow for some time to get your unit in. 218-628-2316
Just had one made. Check out Canvas Craft in Anoka, MN. canvascraftinc.com
I had them use a Top Gun like material. Color matches boat. Nice snug fit.

I don't live in MN so I can't recommend any dealers, however, in terms of material I would highly recommend Top Gun. I'm on my 3rd boat with a Top Gun travel cover and they all have been great. I've traveled thousands of miles and never had a problem with wear-through. Also, I've never had a problem with the cover scratching my boat.
Best Regards,

I have had Ins-Tent Mfg. Co. in Cloquet make two snap-on travel and mooring covers for me, and they have done excellent work. 218-879-9712. Also mentioned above is Procter Canvas which does nice work also.

I know a lot of happy travelers using a cover made by Harbor Master, including myself. It can be bought at Walmart for around $100 depending on the size of your boat. Get the heavy vinyl coated canvas. I've had one on my Alumacraft for 5 yrs, including outside during the winter and I put one on my new Tuffy. The only fix it needs is to have strap protectors sewn on to keep from marking the side of the boat. It travels very well.

FJH1,
I have to second that!! Best material on the market, in my opinion!
