what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 24 volt

advantages of 24 volt system. More powerful motors (thrust). Larger battery capacity means longer use of motor at peak power. Disadvantages: Two batteries to maintain and initial cost of two vs. one battery. More weight, although this might be an advantage if you need more weight up front and often fish alone.

You'll have more weight and a little more cost, but the benifits are substantial. 24 v draws fewer amps at the same power setting and has a lot more thrust. More power with longer battery life.
