I'm looking to mount downriggers on my Lund 1800 Pro V with the least amount of holes possible. Anybody have any suggestions based on their experiences. Do you use a board? And where do you mount the board? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have the 1800 , but I do have the 1950 . I too had a hard time deciding how and where to locate downrigers .Ended up locating near axcess ports . Mounted on gunwhale on top of a square piece of hard wood . I also mounted the quick release from Big Jon . Thats the one thing I would not be without . Measure three times , drill only after sleeping on it . I hope this was of some help . I think I saw your boat in a Lund add with Big Jon's mounted in Great Lakes Angler or Walleye Insider .
