I'm looking at buying a plain lund ssv-16 and putting a 30 honda on it. I'm wondering, does honda make a 35, and if so, is there much of a difference in power or weight?

Also, I'd like to hear from anybody who has a 30 and what they think of it. Thanks.

Hey Rivereye
Honda used to make a 35/45 on the same powerhead and have since changed it to their 40/50 model about 4-5 years ago. I believe the 25/30 are the same block and much smaller than the 40/50.
Check out birchwood on regent - they have some unbeleivable, awesome deals on these motors right now.

I just got my boat home last with a new 30 HP Honda. The work thing is getting in my way but hope to get out this weekend so can not comment on performance. Email me if you wish. Honda does not have a 35 Next step up is a 40HP. As you are thinking 4 stroke you have limited options. The Yam or Mec in a 30HP is their heavy 40 HP with differnent carbs and RPM. These where to heavy for my boat. The Honda 30HP Honda is the 25HP with different carbs and higher RPM making it much lighter that anything out there in the range you are looking at.
