Need some opinions good or bad on the Garmin 160, it looks to me like a pretty good unit for around 200 bucks. Thanks.

I have owned a Garmin 160 for two years now and I find the unit is pretty good for the money. I mainly fish the open waters of Lake Erie around Huron and Vermilion.
The only problem I had with the unit is when running full speed the unit would ocassionally power off. I learned here @W/C that the problem was the fuse holder. If the unit you purchase has the spring type fuse holder replace it with the type where you have to push the ends of the fuse into a clip.
At the time of my purchase my funding was limited, but I am ready to move up and will seriously consider an x-15 at the end of the season once the price comes down a little(I hope) and they get all the bugs worked out.
