Anybody try the shakespere sigma titanium rods? I bought a 6'6" med action at Wal-Mart and am pretty impressed with it. Can't beat the price.

I haven't used that particular rod, but in the past I have used Shakespeare rods and have liked them a lot. I started making my own about 10 years ago, and haven't bought any since. I think most people think because you can buy them at WalMart, KMart, and other discount stores they are a cheap rod. That is not the cast, for the money they are a pretty good buy. Hope you enjoy it.

I bought two of the Shakespeare Intrepid IM-7's and think they are very solid rods. Fast tip with a lot of backbone. At $29.00 a piece I think they were a great deal.

I have four of the Intrepids and they're a good, versatile rod--especially for the price.
