Have a 4 year old 90 hp yammy 2 stroke oil injected motor. Went to start it up and warm her up before winterizing for the winter and you guessed it she WON'T start.

Has plenty of cranking power but won't fire over. Changed the plugs, tried spraying starting fluid directly into all 3 carbs but no luck. Checked for spark at each plug wire - NONE.

Would appreciate any and all suggestions or solutions before taking it to the dealers shop.

Thanks........Stotch

Double check for fuses under the cowel. Many outboards have a fuse which disables the ignition system if it blows.

Take care

p.s.
You do have the man overboard cable plugged in don't you.
If the man overboard cable is unplugged - or ajar, many times the motor will spin -- but no ignition -- spark.

BINGO !!

Thanks REW, just read your response, plugged in the man over board plug, turned on the water, then the switch and purrrrr.

WOW, what a relief. Thanks again, Stotch
