I have not fished woman much for Walleyes but I do listen to the reports all the time. Usually, (If I am correct) many use a jig and a shiner early on and have done fairly well in anywhere from 10 - 20 feet. Toward Bungee bay, there is an incoming flow of water which is usually netted by DNR in spring for stripping spawn from the fish. I may be off a bit here, but I think (emphasis on think) that has been a fairly good area. Again, this is only going off of reports that I have listened to...not my own personal experience. I hope this at least gives you a start though...

For good information on fishing and a quality map of the lake go to fishinghotspots.com. Map of Woman Lake for $10. FishingHotSpots make the best and most informative maps I have seen. Hope you have fun. Don't overlook the smallies.

I've been fishing Woman for about 40 years (started when I was 5).

That time of year along with a probable late ice out, long lining in the shallows off various stoney points will be a good bet. Governement and Stoney Points are good choices. You'll find many will slip bobber it over at Government Point at night.

There is a nice drift over by Lantern Bay in which Lindy Rigs work great and a large rock pile that goes from 6 ft to 30 ft in short amount of space.

In the AM a lot of anglers will hit the flats with jigs.

There are fish all over the lake so I rarely go all the way over to Bungy from our cabin. But on the left to the entrance to the bay there is some very good structure.

I've only fished it once in the winter, but caught a 27" 'eye and a few nice perch.

I used to live on girl lake which connects to broadwater bay and woman. You can get all the fish(WALLEYE, NORTHEN, BASS, CRAPPIE, AND NICE BLUEGILLS) out of all 3 lakes.

Woman lake is a very clear lake and if the sun is up and there's not much wind, I would definately try a different lake and fish woman at night. A good option would be to go several miles north and Fish Leech Lake. Another choice would be to fish ten mile lake just north of Hackensack. Any further info, just e-mail me.
