Merry Christmas all,
I am looking at putting a transom jack on my 1998 Champion Fishunter 190. Any suggestions?

Buy the most heavy duty weight rated as it is the only thing holding your toung up. Da, I know that sounds like a no brainer but it's a safety thing. I have two on my lund 1950 because I've had one not seated properly give out while pushing it around. fenwick

I think he's talking about a jackplate for his motor not a togue jack for his trailer. But good idea with a really heavy duty one on both the transom jack and tongue jack.

To give my opinion I have a fixed transom jack and Iv'e heard other people say set them and forget them on the board. It really adds to the top speed of the boat.

Have fun tinkering
