Anyone have anything good or bad to say about it? I've just picked some up to try and compare to the new Trilene XL in 6# size as I've heard nothing but bad things about the new Trilene.I also picked up some sensi thin in the same size. Lets hear it.......

MY P-LINE EXPERIENCE: I used the Extra Strong in 2 & 4 pound for Ice Fishing this season ( Fished it nearly every day ) - I had no knot slips, break-off's, line memory - IT WAS GREAT !!!!

I've used Seaguar, Silver Thread, Trilene XL and many others >
P-LINE EXTRA STRONG was great in the light lines }}} OLD TOOTHY did hand me a few bite-off's, but I wasn't looking for him with the 2 pound. Toothy would set near by and watch my Jig, knowing that panfish would come to it, then ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ><> WHAM ON THE PANFISH. I would rate the P-LINE EXTRA STRONG OVER ALL I HAVE USED in the lighter line I used. I'll be using it in the heaver test this long rod season.

QUESTION: First year for large boat ( 24 footer - many years with 17 ) > how many feet out to the large Planer Boards with 24 foot boat ( Used 50 feet with 17 foot boat ).

RMB I used a lot of different lines and for the most part can not say anything dramitically negative about any of them, although they all have + and -. This year I started using the new YO-ZURI hybrid and I'm very impressed. It's a combination of fluorocarbon and mono and has the best of both worlds. The flexibility and manageability of mono but has the abrasion resistance, low stretch, and virtually impossible to see in the water that fluorocarbon offers. Try it!

I spooled some 12 lb P-Line for bottom bouncing last year and ended up taking it off because I broke off a lot of rigs on snags. Part of the problem was that it was a truly snaggy lake, but mostly it seemed that the line didn't have great abrasion resistance-- I was getting cut off by sharp rocks. I switched back to Maxima for that lake and the breakoffs went to almost none. However, I found that the P-line was pretty good for most other places.

I too have gotten away from Trilene XL due to problems.I'm now useing Sensi-Thin(6lb)on my rigging rods, jig rods and bobber rigs and love it.It do'es have more senitivity,it seems more resistant to abrasion and has less stretch.Spool memory is ok,it over all just feels and handles better and is smaller diameter.I have it spooled on seven different rigs and knock on wood have not lost a fish!I'm sold and would recommend it to anyone.

I have used P line in 4, 6, 8 and 12 pound tests. The 4 and 6 were great for sppoling up a rod and using all season long, they held knots, great sensitivity and abrasion resistant with little memory. The 8 and 12 had everything, but they had too much memory for me, so i took them off and used it for leader material on snells and while ice fishing.

I am thinking down the same lines that you are about the sensi thin line for jigging /rigging in place of the new XL. I'm right now checking all the smaller tackle and retail shops for spools of older XL that might be laying around. So far I can't find any 6#. Why did they have to mess with a good thing? I wish I had an email address to send a complaint to. Maybe they will ultimately listen to their customers, who knows.....On a different note, the walleyes are just starting (yes starting) to come in to the traps at Cut Foot Sioux on Winnebigosh. I might just stay home this opener out of guilt for too easy a fishin'.....NAHHHHH!!!!

>>I switched back to Maxima

I have switched back to maxima many times. It just can't be beat for abrasion resistance and strength. It is the tuffest stuff Ive ever used. It is very hard to see though. Trilene xt don't even come close. I have lost several fish in tournements do to trilene break offs it has cost me 2 checks for sure.
I always use fresh line during a tournement so that isn't the problem. Trilene has never been my favorite line but lately it's gotten alot worse.

I've used Maxima and P Line for the past few years. For a few years I was a maxima diehard. I've found P Line to be just as good as Mzxima. I drift and drag fish Erie for smallies a lot of times and it is just as abrasion resistant in my estimation.
