When I purchase goods through the NPAA members only program I had them put the murchandise on my credit card. I recieved current billing from my credit card company today and much to my surprise the NPAA had charged me for goods dating back to March 26th. There were actually two charges made, the other being on April 11th. I have not received any of the goods that I ordered! I do not consider this good business and was not able to reach anyone at the NPAA office to discuss the problem today.
I am wondering if other people are running into the same situation and if anyone has received any merchandise as of yet? TM.

Did you guys use credit cards? If so did they post charges to them for the merchandise?

The orders are placed through the NPAA, and then the NPAA sends the orders out to the various manufacturers. When the NPAA receives the shipments, and can put the orders together, they are then shipped to us. The merchandise is not sitting in the NPAA offices when we place our orders. Hang in there, they will be showing up soon.
We did this last year and everything showed up in the month of May.

Juls,
I understand that placing the 800 some orders is quite an undertaking. I am not in a big hurry to receive my orders. What did bother me is that they processed the payment for my orders before they shipped the goods. I do not feel that this is a good business practice and am not sure just how legal it may or may not be. I am not familiar with South Dakota law or if it would be governed by Minnesota law, as the order was place in Minnesota. In addition to paying for the tackle and supplies I also payed approximately $25.00 for shipping that has not begun to take place. I guess it just kinda hit me as being somewhat odd. TM

Sure, I understand how you feel. Did you try calling Charlie Moore to ask him about it? Personally, I don't see it as a problem for me. I'm sure they had to send payments to the different manufacturers before they would send the shipments to the NPAA right? I don't think that money should have to come out of the NPAA's pocket until they make an actual shipment to us. Do you? I also don't think the manufacturers would send shipments to the NPAA without being paid in advance. It's just business. I'm sure the NPAA is not sitting on your money. It was probably just exchanging hands.
I'm looking forward to getting my shipment, but I have plenty of toys to keep me occupied until then..;-)

My card was also charged on the 11th of April. I tried calling the NPAA to find out shipping info, but was not able to get ahold of anyone. I wish there was a little better communication from the NPAA to its members. I see the concern, you get your billing statement and it shows a debit from the NPAA from 2 weeks ago. I understand there is probably a high number of orders but just a post somewhere either on WC or the NPAA board letting members know what is going with the orders would probably be greatly appreciated by all.

Juls,
Ya, you are probably right, and I too have plenty to do to keep me busy, getting the new rig ready and all. I am definately not in a hurry for the stuff to arrive. With this nice weather I am really starting to get pumped for fishing. TM

I contacted the NPAA last Thursday regarding another matter and I happened to mention our "stuff". I was told that it is Pradco that is shuffling their feet and holding things up. They told me that the rest of the orders are ready, with shipping labels made and waiting for Pradco. They said they are hoping to have everything shipped in the next two weeks,be patient, I hope this helps.

Charlie:
Thanks for your assistance in getting this thing done. I know that when I signed up for my gear,I anticipated a somewhat long wait for the stuff I ordered. You've got your hands full and I hope all goes well in the distribution of the orders to their rightful owners.
I would remind people that when I ordered my 4 season tickets for the Minnesota Wild this past year, I was charged four grand up front on my credit card in September and didn't use all the tickets until the end of March. Some things in life have to be paid for in advance, used when they become available...
Keep up the good work and thank you for bringing these offers to us as patrons and members.
