Globalmap 2000 questions

I don't have any eperience with this unit but may buy a used boat with one on it. A couple of questions, How user friendly is this for someone new to GPS-mapping/plotting systems. The one in question has the sonar upgrade, how does the 2000 compare as a sonar unit to the LMS350 or other Lowrance products. Any info would be appreciated.

It was the first GPS/map/plot for me. I have been able to work my way through it with the extremely thick instruction manual. If you are buying direct from the boat owner, why don't you try to get him to demo it for you if you buy it? I have separate Pinpont sonar, so I can't help you out on the sonar aspect.
