I make at least three trips a summer to Ontario. Their policy on bringing fish home doesn't bother me cuz' I make sure I eat enough while I'm there!! Lake of the Woods is a good bet and there are many good resorts depending on what part of the lake you want to fish. Personally I love any of the island country! We also travel to lake St. Joseph by the town of Pickle Lake. We stay at Camp Lake St. Joseph. ( 1-800-joe-canp )The fishing there is the best I'e ever seen, But it's a long drive and access is limited by the number of permits given each resort (2 resorts on east end of 80 miles of water) by the MNR. The other place we go is a nice resort ( super clean )on Lac De Mille Lacs about 90 miles west of Thunder Bay. The fishing here is not as good (about average for southern Ontario )but the owners are wonderful and its CHEAP!! $210.00 per person per week CANADIAN. Thunderbird Resort 507-364-8879 winter, 807-986-2332 summer. Enjoy yourself. Watch for rocks!!! Skeeter Boy
