F or R , drag for Spirex?

I've decided to get a Shimano Spirex spinning reel for jigging, but would like to know which is easier or better to use, Front or Rear drag.....Thanks....Glen

I've owned both. Personally I like the front drag, it's less bulky and lighter weight. I don't use the drag that much (I like to back reel) but even if I did, I'd still go with the front drag. The thing I definately didn't like was the double paddle handle. It was very awkward. I ended up ordering single paddle replacement handles for both my reels.

For the same price I would order the Sahara.

The above post is good advice. I have owned this reel and it was OK but there is no instant anti-reverse, drove me crazy every time I set the hook. Get one that has this feature, it's worth it.
