If you're located anywhere near S/E Wisconsin, make a stop at Kendor Corp. in Franklin, Wi. (just north of Racine). They've got just about everything you could ask for on a boat/trailer. They're at 5721 Ryan Rd. 414 421-4370

HEY LET ME GUESS YOU'VE GOT A SHORELANDER TRAILER AND YOUR BOAT WONT LOAD STRAIGHT?

Larry thanks for the info! Charlie no I don't have a Shorelander. I just would like my Lund 20 ft Alaskan to load and unload by itself if I can locate the right keel roller. Thats not to much to ask is it?

The 20ft alaskan can be tricky to get on a trailer. there are a lot of keels under there to hang up and the older alaskans have a flat bottom which make it even worse. try the flexible plastic upright goal post type guides on the back of your trailer. They give a bit then spring back pushing the boat over to the center of the trailer. Adjust the posts tight to the boat when it is on the trailer nice and straight. drive the trailer in a little deeper when loading. the goal posts will center the boat as it floats over the bunks or rollers. as the boat is slowly towed out of the water the guides will keep the boat centered as it lowers onto the trailer nice and straight. Shallow boat launches can be a nightmare if your boat has keels and your trailer is a mismatch or is not adjusted properly. When the trailer and boat are on land, get down and take a good look at what kind of adjustments can be made to improve things.
