I would appreciate any advice on a trolling motor settup for a 1650 lund rebel. I keep the boat docked and do not have shore power to recharge. I have a 50 hp merc 4 st which I believe puts out 10 amps. I don't know if I can add a deep cycle battery for the trolling motor. I just have the cranking battery right now. I don't know if the engine can keep 2 charged or if I.. if they both need to be cranking.. should cary one home every day to charge..etc.?????. I'd like to put in a switch for the batteries also but thats another endevor.. Any help is very appreciated.
