I tend to overheat really easy. What is the best light weight rain gear that will keep me dry without getting me too warm?
Check out Cabelas Guidewear lite......

Frogg Toggs. Check them out at www.froggtoggs.com.
Water proof and wind proof, and wisks moisture away from the body. A very good product.

I know you are looking for "lite" weight stuff, but figure a few MN people will be popping in to see this. I found some Remington hunting, camo (Mossy Oak Shadow Grass), waterproof (their version of the Omni-tech, I guess), "quiet" (Saddlecloth) coat and bids for $45 each. My Quad Parka is getting old and needed new one, and love the "soft" for deer hunting and just general. I wear it all through summer even though it isn't "light".
I like it better than my Columbia so far, and I hope it is as waterproof.
These are the kind of 4-in-1 parka type thing, but it doesn't come with the insert. Columbia Quad insert zips into it as it is ready for an insert. The bibs are comfy with good pockets and zippers are around for easy access everywhere. They have them up to XXL and they have a bunch (XXL's are in back...). It is at Woods-N-Water on university ave in Fridley, just up a bit from Thorne Brothers. I saw a post about x-75 for $285 and went to check it out. For any of you wanting ST units for Lowrance Eagle x-65,75,85,lms160, ect, they have them for $10...
They also have a bunch of Rapala lure for $2.99. Shads and Ristos and others. I didn't look at other rains suits, but know they had some.
Anyway, for metro area MN people, this is a cool store. The staff was very nice and helpful too. They also have 12v Powerdrive units for about $250. 48" shaft, can't remember thrust... Perfect for not so heavy boats.
Sorry to sound like an ad, but i don't work there and just found the place, and am glad i did. I hope others may find good prices there as well.
Good fishing,

For lightweight rain gear I don't think you can beat Kooldri. They make great raingear and they also stand behind their products.

Try to find some Helly Hansen. They're a Norwegian outfit which caters to saltwater sailors and mountain climbers.
I've never seen them in Minnesota, so you might need to search the web for a dealer. Try http://www.hellyhansen.com/.
I bought a couple of sets when I lived on the east coast. They have several weight grades. Mine are very light weight, >ABSOLUTELY< waterproof, yet they breath the moisture away from your body very nicely. Price compared favorably to Gore Tex, and a lot more comfortable for summer wear.

I'll have to throw in a vote for the Bass Pro Shops XPS rain gear. It's very light weight especially compared to Guidewear and 100 MPH suits. It also has all the advantages of Gortex, plus the added comfort of being light and breathable.

Another vote for Frogg Toggs. You can get them from Cabelas. They can only be purchased in a set.
