Do I use a lower temp thermostat on my tow vehicle, say 180 degrees v. 195 degrees?
Depends on the vehicle. Some late model vehicles include engine temp as one of the "on the fly" variables in setting up fuel mixture, shift points, and other power-train management parameters. You might have some unexpected results such as poor fuel mileage, etc.
