It has become apparent that they are the same units. Is it a shared parent company? It looks as if I can buy a Eagle Accura 240 Sonar with water temp for $289 while the Lowrance X-85 with water temp runs $419 in Cabela's Master Catalog. The only difference is 3,000 watts versus the Eagles 600 watts. I usually fish a river with a max depth of 60 feet and a very fast current. What will the additional watts give me for the money? Are either brand more reliable? Any information appreciated.
