Well, it's that time of the year again when you have to renew the boat Lic. I know I have read somewhere on an easy way to remove old Lic. stickers. I already have 2 on top of each other and would like to take them off and start new this year. Is there an easy way that won't hurt the decals on the boat? Thanks.

simply heat the sticker with a hair dryer or heat gun .once you can lift the edge ,slow pulling should do the trick.if you use a heat gun don't get it real hot! i just removed a large decal with this method w/ great results.follow up with an adhesive remover like goop or 3m makes one.

The heat gun works well, and goo off or goof off as well as wd-40, or common mineral spirits work well for the adhesive residue.

Before putting the new stickers on - go over the area with anchol. This will remove the residue left by the goof off or mineral spirits.

Take care
