Will be making a few trips soon. What would you run-- cranks or meat. Also if cranks what kind and color. Long runs are not a problem. Looking for Quality Fish over quantity. Thanks.

Most of the large females are over east of Kellys. You might try 3 - 5 miles east of the island. Expect to have the area to yourself. Look for little pods of big fish. If your marking bait balls your in the right area. Put cranks down (you can fish them faster and cover more ground). If you end up north or northwest of Kellys, try harnesses there at around 1.3 - 1.6 mph. Colors for the cranks or harnesses should be a function of water color and light. Gin clear - chromes or golds with blue or black backs (orange bellys sometimes help); 3-5' visability - natural color (Eriedesent, Rainbow Trout, shad colors; starined water - browns, oranges, blacks or the wild bright colors.

For Erie questions, go to boatohio, then boaters forum, then ask the expert.

Hope this helps, good luck.
