I just installed a Transom Saver for my motor. My question is how much clearance should there be between the skeg and the ground?

Spinner,
Just make sure that it is above your axle height (the lower edge of your axle). If you clear an obstacle in the road with your axle and your skeg is above that, usually it will clear the obstacle also. Just to be on the safe side, give it a few more inches to spare. Good fishing.
Remember to keep your eyes open and your feet dry.
