I have already ordered my new Triton 205 this year and know what windshield I am getting. Please give me some feedback on both so I will be able to explain to people the difference between the full glass and the split glass. Good points and bad points are welcome and any other information for that matter on the 205 would be great. I am excited about the chance to fish out of this new boat this year. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999
Mike,
Nice choice on the boat. I've had my 205 for 3 years now and really enjoy it. Ordered mine with help from Chris Gillman -he had some nice ideas on rigging it up. Haven't been in a quicker or better handling boat ever. The fit and finish are standards for the industry and it fishes beautifully. I'm running a VMax 225 with a Tempest Plus 3 blade and that seems to be the right set up for this boat. Excellent hole shot, quick plane and really quick. Wish I would have ordered a 101 thrust trolling motor though. My 76 pushes me just fine but that extra 30 lbs. of thrust would really help sometimes.Other than that absolutely no complaints.Looking forward to some soft water pretty soon.Good luck and tell us how you have the boat setup.

Mike, are you refering to the walk-thru windshield vs. the dual console with the little picies of plastic farring in front of each console? My vote goes to the walk thru, if you do any fishing in cold weather you will be glad you have it. Ive been on to many 25 mile runs in rough water in 35degree weather to be without it. The full windshield does take up some space though, if I was to just fish in nice weather I might consider the shortty farrings. With the full walk thru you can get out of the spray when your in big waves, and no matter what boat you have, you will get some water over the top. yes I said no matter what boat. Ive been in them all, go with the walk thru.
Mike, I'm trying to email you and they keep coming back. Any ideas?

Mike -
How are you doing? I skated for team North Dakota last season, under your dad. The time of my life!
I think that all hockey players like to fish, just that some of us get to grow up next to good spots. I spend a lot of time on Devils Lake every year. As far as the windsheild thing goes, I like the split option better. You don't ruin them like you do a full windshield in big waves. Besides, I'm still young where protection from the elements isn't essential yet.

Hey Mike the little farings that are on some boats are a joke and do not provide much protection.
Really big and high duals are pretty good otherwise the full is the best for protection against the elements especially here in MN. It would have been a chilly one at Redwing this morning break out the sunflower heater LOL.
