My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours!A month ago my father was diagnosed with a tumor on his lung (cancer),and hes faced with some extremely tough decisions.Hes taking things one step at a time in hopes of shrinking the tumor enough to make it operable...all things considered,hes doing OK.He tells me one thing that has helped him CHUG along and keep his spirits high are a few words exchanged durring a "heart to heart" we had one night a couple weeks back sitting in the yard.....goes something like this.

Have trust in your body, your spirit,your family, and your very own intellect. You were born to be a fighter. In your life you did stand up, not once but many times, in face of adversity. Now is not the time to say "why me", but the time to do it again.

YOU CAN DO IT; YOU WILL DO IT; AND YOU WILL SUCCEED!


I hope this can help you as well .....Again..My family's thoughts and prayers are with you and yours as well.

Hey Stump,
First of all, let me say "have faith" that your father will recover from his set-back..My family and I will keep your Dad and all of your family in our prayers as he copes with his treatments..I have an aunt out in Indiana with lung cancer for the last 5 years..She now is in remition and the latest test have shown that the tumor (which was as big as a softball) is now the size of a pea..There are some wonderful new meds out there and the oncology staffs are always learning more and more on treatments and dosages..
As for me, I honestly feel that I have the greatest support group from all of the wonderfl posts here on Walleye Central..So far, I think I have counted people from 11 different states saying prayers for me, plus everyone in my family from Wahington state to the coast of Georgia, and all of the people in my Church family..With all of this support, plus my daily prayers, I know that God will be watching over your Dad and I during our time of need..
I printed out your post to me and will put it on the fridge for the whole family to see..Our prayers will sent out to your Dad and yor family for a speedy recovery and guidance to know and understand that Our Lord does listen to and answer our prayers..
