I'm headed to Port Clinton May 20-27 with a buddy and want to get on some good walleye action. Can any of you native Ohioans (or other seasoned Erie Anglers) provide me with some starting points about walleye locations at that time of the year and where I should start? Also, any other experiences you might have had relating to depths, colors, patterns, presentations and baits would be most helpful and genuinely appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide me. I look forward to your input.

Last part of May is the time the fish should be out west suspended over deep water. On you chart the area from between Green Island and Rattle Snake, over to West Sister, up to the border, and back to North Bass is the area that will have fish going somewhere. Last year the Michigan line was also good for numbers. The big fish will be east for the most part. Local bait shops should have yesterdays info.

Specific starting point might be 1-1/2 mile west of Green and work NNE.

For Erie questions go to, www.boatohio.com then boaters forums, then ask the expert. See you there. Good luck.
