Sorry to ask again. (I lost the post)
I did try and look through the archives and could not find my previous post.

I have a Yarcraft 1895 Storm DC w/ 225 Opti.
What is the prop I need?
(I could not remember if it was a 21 or 23 pitch Tempest)

Also (Gary or others) what is it about this prop that you like?
My dealer is trying to talk me into a 4 blade SS. vs. the
3 Blade (cupped) Tempest.

Any help would be Great!

That 225 should be able to turn a 23 Tempest with comparativ e ease. However, your dealer is probably steering you in the right direction towards a Trophy Plus 4 blade in the same pitch. You would lose very little if any top end with the Trophy and gain a ton of handling advantage and better hole shot. My first guess would be a 23 small hub Trophy. Ask your dealer if you can borrow a few to try out with the clear intention of buying one of them.

THE WHOLE 3 BLADE PROP BEING BETTER BECAUSE IT IS CUPPED AND THE FOUR BLADE IS NOT IS A LINE SO DON'T BITE. ALL PROPS CAN BE CUPPED IF YOU WANT TO HAVE THEM CUSTOMIZED BY A RELIABLE PROP GUY. I WOULD RECOMEND GETTING THE PROP THAT SOMEONE WITH YOUR RIG RECOMENDS AND HAS SUCCESS WITH. THEN I WOULD CALL JOHN JANAKY AT PROPELLERS AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT CUPPING AND CUSTOMIZING. HE IS PROBABLY ON OF THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY. HIS CREDENTIALS SPEEK FOR THEM SELF HE HAS BEEN WRITTEN UP IN BASS AND WALLEY BOAT MAGIZINE MANY TIMES. HIS SHOP NUMBER IS 262-534-4440 HE IS LOCATED IN RACINE COUNTY. GOOS LUCK
