The 1700 lund has this raised platform on the bow for installing trolling motors I assume, except It does not work will for installation of motors.
If I remove platform, than I only have some thin metal to bolt the motor to. I will have to reneforce this metal. Have you guys any good suggestions on this problem?

Not sure which 1700 you're referring to, but on my Pro Sport I just use one of the slide mount brackets to mount my minnkota autopilot. Works great and I can remove the motor when travelling. Don't know if this is a consideration for you, but I made sure the plate was mounted prior to getting the custom cover made so it was fitted and reinforced properly.

Use one of the various slide-on, slide-off 2 piece brackets. MinnKota makes one , Capras make one, Cambridge makes one.
Any fishboat oriented boat dealer should have a bunch in stock.
Same thing Smitty is talking about.

Sorry, you need more information. I have a1700 pro-v it is a boat made in 1988. I had a monkota 812 mounted on a slide off platform. The pinpoint motor need 17" of surface to mount their motor. This raised platform on this boat is not big enough to do this. Corner to corner is only 15". Thanks for your suggestions, the fisherman that answer these questions are really a great help, thank you.
