Bought a Lund 1675 Explorer with a 90 Honda and looking for advice on a trolling motor on the bow. I will be using a 4hp four stroke for the rear. We fish larger NW Ontario inland lakes. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Good fishing...Frank

Get the largest auto-pilot you can get and get ,atleast, a 54" shaft.
Nice boat, by the way. No nonsense, room, storage.. ought to work real well for you.

Frank; My PinPoint can follow all those critical breaklines on Lac Des Mille Lacs with no hands and my eyes closed...Good luck...SkeeterBoy

I fish Lac Des Mille Lacs for a week every year. What break lines do you fish. I am looking for some new spots.

I completely agree. I bought the 65 lb thrust Minnkota Autopilot, 62" shaft for my 1650 Explorer. I've been out on Lake Huron when I probably shouldn't have been, and the business end ALWAYS stayed in the water. You've put some decent coin into your rig...don't scrimp, get the Autopilot. If nothing else you and your buds can eat donuts and drink coffee without having to tweak the steering all the time.

Nice rig, have fun.

Ordered a Minnkota Genisis Auto pilot with 74Lbs of thrust and a 60 inch shaft. Can't wait to install it , but the problem is Cabela's shipped it by truck and it's been two weeks since I ordered it. I think they shipped it by mule and the mule died somewhere between Sidney,Neb. and Pueblo, Co (200 miles).By the way get the longest shaft possible as I had a 42 in. shaft on my 17 foot boat the first time I had 2ft waves along with some wakes from other boats my prop was almost out of the water.
