Is anyone else sick of all this PWT crap that went on in Chamberlain other than me??/ I am sure it will all be sorted out sooner or later. Until then it looks like to me Mark Martin was the winner. Lets move on to talk about fishing.

If you have a problem with it, don't read it. I am learning a lot about the way many people view the entire situation. I have to say that I am very impressed with all the responses of the PWT anglers on this board. Good luck to all of you.

I agree to a point with you it gets old, but I guess it
my choice if I want to read it our not. This reminds me
in a way of Dale E. who got killed in that Winston race. Dale got
all the media (not by choice), which of course took all
the glory from the winner of the race. Don't take this wrong, I am and was a real fan of Dale E..He will be missed. Lets be talking about Mark Martin for his win. The other stuff will work out itself. This is to bad for
Mark Martin, he is the winner of the tourney and I have
heard very little about that. In that way I feel bad for him.

I agree. It is very interesting as well as informative. I have really enjoyed the debate. For the most part, bashers and disrespect is minimal. There are a few posts get close but for the most part, respectable debate.

Not only was it getting old, but it was getting out of control.
I "archived" it so it's still there to be read.
I almost deleted it.

I agree with you 100%. After the first several days and when the string got so long I quit reading. If you look in the SD fishing guide they show a detailed diagram on how a fish tail is to be squeezed for measurement. You had better be measuring your fish in that manner when fishing in SD whether in a tournament or not as that is the method which will be used to check your fish.

Scott,
Just curious because I haven't been here in awhile, but why is it that just because people disagree, with the pro's on this site or with the normal guys or gals, that it is out of control. I read it all, and I didn't really find it so, although this isn't my site. If I read this post correctly from the beginning, Chris states that he has affadavit's from at least 8 witnesses saying the fish was legal. If that was true, even though the PWT had to dq him because of the rules (and this is the important point. They had to dq him)I also don't think that it would have been out of line for the tournament director to ask to see the measurement. If it was Mark Dorn's opinion that the fish was legal, although he IN NO WAY COULD OVERTURN THE CO'S RULING, the PWT should have been in court to back up their fisherman!!! If Dorn and maybe even a rep from the NPAA agreed with the CO's assessment, then the whole argument against the PWT would be moot. Regardless, it looks like it may be decided in a SD courtroom, but I am a little disappointed in the support the PWT gave Chris on this issue. I guess they don't want to take a chance of upsetting the SD GAme and Fish guys anymore. As far as the CO dumping the fish right away, I believe that is a common practice with all live fish. NOT TRYING TO BE ARGUMENTATIVE, JUST POLITELY DISAGREEING. Love your site, and hope to be here more. Marty Schaefer

i dont know this chris guy or never heard of him but if i had a big basket of fish that would put me in the lead by several pounds i/m definetly not going to jeopardize it by taking a fish thats that close to the limit. that was a stupid call by him now he needs to shut up about it and learn from the mistake and move on

Scott,
New to Walleye Central. Fantastic site, especially the message board. This stuff is tame compared to the snowmobile (RSS) newsgroup I visit. One of my first threads was this PWT issue. I am impressed by a number of things: 1. Actual differences of opinions nicely articulated. 2. It strikes a cord with most guys, obvious by the number of posts. 3. Guys like Gary Parsons actually puts in his 2 cents worth (Probably the closest most guys will get to him). 4. Quite informative on how the PWT and/or pros look at these things. 5. Probably will have some influence on the rest of us, especially learning from others mistakes.
Obviously you must be the Big Cheese. I don't pay for this sight, I just look, comment, and support your sponsors. You can do what you want, however I find it interesting that you've archived this thread. Seems like this topic is like a pesky perch and crawlers. Alot of guys will continue to fish hoping that tap tap is a walleye, the smart guys have figured it out and moved on. Seems like you just gave those guys another dozen crawlers.
I hope the rest of this summer will be this fun!
