I recently purchased a new Crestliner 1850 Sportfish and I am considering adding one of the after-market convertible rear bench seats that will allow for additional seating and can be folded down while fishing to create a larger rear fishing deck.

Has anyone used one of these seats? Do they work well? Any suggestions on the best one to buy?

Has anyone built their own that is willing to share their ideas?

Thanks for all your help,

Joe

Joe: I had a like problum with my new SportCRAFT. NO rear seats..I got two pedestal seats and brackets and mounted them on either side of the motor box. When fishing the casting or jigging way I can sit down in them, but when down rigging I can removew them and stow them away. Cabela's has all the parts and it's more reasonable then the factory ones. When stowed, all you see is the plate on the floor. The seat color matches the rest of the boat colors..

Joe,

I have the same boat. I purchased a bench seat from the dealer that looks like it was made for the boat. The kids love it, I like the extra fishing deck when it is pushed down, and it works like a sun loung when laid out flat with the cushion side up.

The only problem is that I have to move my two rear seats to push it down, and then it also blocks the rod locker. The screw knobs are also a pain if you put it up and down frequently. It also covers up the oil tank cover and you always have to move it to check the oil level and batteries.

Other than that, we love it.
