View Full Version : Lund-charging through red plug
I have a 1998 1900 pro v se with a pinpoint 24 volt trolling motor on bow.If I want to charge through trolling motor plug with the red plug do I just use a 24 volt charger. Thanks in advance.
Just hook it up and leave the charger on 12 volts. Although once a year I take All my batt. out and charge each one buy themself and test the acid level. MOO

If you have not changed anything from the standard Lund 12-24, set-up...then just hook pos. to the red wire on red plug and neg. onto the black wire on the red plug..using a 12V charger.. you will be charging 12v back to the seperate troll motor batteries.

Terry,
I'm replacing my existing 12V motor with a 24V motor on my '97 Tyee 1950. Will I need to do anything different to the plug or wires to run 24V to the plug?
Also, have you ever tried putting a Trolling Thunder 2128 (19.3" long) into the battery compartment of a Tyee? The front of the two compartments doesn't have sides, but they're only 14 3/4" long. It seems that I 'might' be able to work one in. Or would you suggest just sticking with two standard batts?
