navionics and the lcx15mt

I got my navionics order today, put the card in the unit and nothin. I already downloaded 1.9, so what's the hold-up.It keeps asking if I want to format the mmc, does that mean the download didn't take? I also went to the maps sreen and turned on navionics and turned off the other two options and every combination between the three. Thanks for any help.

Hit your menu button, scroll down to the MAP DATA and hit enter. scroll down to navionics map choice and hit enter. highlight which map you want to read(if you have multiple maps) and hit enter. This should do it I hope. BUT, by all means, DO NOT HIT FORMAT. It will erase your MMC card. Hope this helps.

Meesh, to check which version software you have running, hit menu twice and scroll down to system setup. Hit enter and scroll down to software information. That will tell you which version of software you are running. Again, I hope this helps.

How do you order navionics maps?

I went to their web site and there were 3 formats to chose from. I selected "Lowrance EChart" and the next step was to input a internal serial number from the unit. I looked through the book and found nothing in regards to this

I then went to the lowrance website and found procedures to get the internal serial on other models but nothing regarding this for the x-15. I might add that with the other models you have to have a direct connect to the unit from a PC (what a pain)

Can anyone shed some light on this. I see in an earlier post that someone had the map/s shipped to them but the website says they'll E-mail them.

I guess I'm a little confused

Hey Bob,I tried to order hotmaps off the Navionics website a couple times and finally figured out that their webpage order form was out of wack. You will have to order from their 800 number on their page. They know what format your unit will take.

I ordered a chart this weekend from Navionics for a friend. I did email their sales department after reading your post to verify the order. Apparently the web page does work as my order has been verified and will be completed today. Something on the internet actually worked..
