i need a source for planer board releases. the type i have are a
small alligator clip with two small pads epoxied to either side
of the jaws---pads are about the size of a dime--this slides
down the planer board line on a shower curtin ring.
any help??

The curtain rings are found at any hardware store, and maybe the alligator clips as well. Alligator clips are always in stock at Radio Shack. The little rubber pads can be cut from inner tubes or again check the hardware store/Radio Shack.

We use plastic clothes pins 7 rubber bands plus shower curtin hooks. We attach the rubber bands to the line then attach the rubber band to the clothes pins. This way if u watch the stretch of the rubber band it is easy to tell if u have weeds or small fish.
The OR-10 with a shower curtain hook hooks just was well as any release on the market for the purpose you describe.
