While at Lake Erie recently, a person we met was talking about a special cushioned seat he saw in a Pro's boat he fished out of. I think they were called possibly "Pro-glide" seats, but I'm not sure. He said they were going through some really rough water and it was an unbelievably smooth ride. I'd love some information on them. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

There's a similar product on the products page. Just click the Products text link at the top of the page.

I have the Ultra Ride suspension seats in my boat, no more spinal compression and tingling toes after bumpy rides :-). They really are awesome.

Best Regards,

fjh, thanks for the reply. Does Ultra Ride have a website, or who sells them? I did a quick check on the web and couldn't find them. The Glyde Ryde seats the other poster mentioned look great. They're $340 each. How does that compare to the Ultra Rides. Thanks for the info, and I'm looking forward to a smoother ride on my next trip to Lake of the Woods!

Jerry, here is the link. I know Scott doesn't like some of this stuff posted, so if it does get deleted, put up a post and I'll send you the link by e-mail. I paid $299 (plus $14 freight I believe) for each of my Ultra Ride suspensions. From what I can tell they are almost identical to Glyde Ryde. Rather than order on-line I just call their number and ask for Scott www.upnorthoutdoors.com/grammer/

Best Regards,

THIS IS MY SECOND SEASON WITH SUSPENSION SEATS. LAST YEAR I RAN LUND PRO-V 1775 W/GLYDE RYDES. THIS YEAR LUND 1800 PRO-V WITH ULTRA-RIDE SEATS. I FISH LAKE ERIE A LOT! IT IS ALWAYS ROUGH AND MY WIFE AND BOTH HAVE BAD BACKS (PROBABLY FROM LAKE ERIE). I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER BOAT WITHOUT THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO WATCH IS THAT YOU DON'T POUND THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR BOAT. I MEAN THAT SINCERLY. THEY WORK THAT WELL. BOTH SEATS ARE FAIRLY EASY TO ASSEMBLE ON MY LUND I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH SEAT BASES WITH THE GLYDE RYDES. ULTRA-RYDE HAS A DROP IN MOUNT THAT CAN BE USED. THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. I WOULD BUY THEM EVEN IF THEY WERE $500.00 A PEICE.

thanks FishHogg. That was the same sentiment that the guy I talked to had, that once you rode in one, you'd never have another boat without them. From your post you don't indicate if you have a preference between the ultra-rides or the glyde-rydes. Are they pretty comparable in ride? Thanks again for the info. I can't wait to order mine. I just hope I can get them before my June 9th trip to Lake of the Woods.

Hi Jerry,

Just to add my 2 cents - I agree that I'll never have another boat without the suspension seats. I have been running a pair of Glyde Rydes in my Triton for the past two seasons and would not go back. Most of my fishing is on big water - Lakes Huron and Erie.
One of my friends I fish with has a bad back and said they have extended his years of fishing and pleasure. As stated above, you can get a hold of them through the site, online at www.glyde-ryde.com or give them a call direct at 1-800-748-7478. They are great people who stand behind what they sell and deal with any questions you may have immediately. They also support this site.

Enjoy!
Bob

I also have the Ultra Rides in my 1900 pro-v....wouldn't even think about getting on the water without them. No matter what kind of boat you run, the suspension seats will save you time on the chiropractors table....
