Thinking about buying two Cabela's depthmaster trolling rods to use with planer boards. Any thoughts on these rods and how they compare to the P&K rods sold through Bass Pro. Thanks in advance for the help.
Not familiar with the Depthmaster, but the P&K rods are had to pass up on with the sale price being $39.95. Only had mine about a month and a half, but like them so far.

Are you looking at the inline or regular guide versions of the Depth Masters?

I have 4 of the P&K 7 1/2' telescoping trolling rods from Bass Pro. Used them for 2 years with offshore inlines and am very happy with them. Ron is right for 39.95 you cant beat them.

Hugh: I just bought two of the depthmaster rods from Cabela's. I did'nt want the teloscoping rods so I was told to go with the downrigger trolling rods. Both look very nice and should work quite well. I believe they are 35$ which is also quite nice. I will try them out this weekend I think. If you want I can tell you how well them seemed to work.
