Has anybody noticed a difference in prices of Lund boats in OH vs. buying a the boat in northern waters, say Michigan. I live in OH and I am thinking about a Lund and was wandering about availability and pricing. I know they are more popular up north. Any advise on motors on the Tyee 1950?? Thanks guys...

Don't know about Ohio dealers/ prices , but, I'd recommend going with a 200 on the outboard version of the 1950 Tyee. (Or, at any rate no smaller than 150.)

I just picked up my boat from Canada last week. Free trade is great. Call TCM at 905-734-4668 they are in Welland by Niagra Falls. You can also call Lund and have them fax you all the Canadian dealers in your region of interest. It's worth checking out.

I have a 1950 Tyee with a Yamaha 200 HPDI, I can't imagine anything else. A friend has a 1950 with a 150 EFI, it's for sale.

Before I bought mine, I ran across a barely used Tyee 1950 with Honda's 130 4-stroke on it. Yikes! He was having major problems selling it, and it was significantly discounted.

Until you have to bring it back to Canada for warranty work.

Is that true, will you have to bring it back to Canada for warranty work? I wouldnt think so. Any Lund dealer should honor the warranty work.

We just dont get too many Lund boats down here in SW Ohio. I see alot up in the Lake Erie area.

V O How do you figure about the motor? A mercury/honda/yamaha motor in the US is the same motor as in Canada. Warranty work is warranty work.

Warranty work on the motor is absolutely no problem over here in the states. They are going to do my twenty hour check on both my Johnson 70hp and Evinrude 8hp 4-stoke without any problem. Future warranty is not an issue either.

Just for the record, the real Fish-on is not interested in buying a Lund, and he's not from Ohio. There's a little duplication of handles going on here. I'm okay with Fish On if you want to keep using it, but I, Fish-on, have been using this handle on this site for over three years and you might find that you are confusing people by using Fish On.

I'm confused that you are confused. There's a new Fish On in town and that is spelled with a big O, not your little o.
