I have an new 172 172 Crestliner Tournament Series with a 150 Evinrude and a 19P Viper. My top GPS speed is 50-51 MPH. Does anyone have the same boat with similar power. If so, I would like to know what you are getting for speed.

I have the same boat with a 135 opti. I originally put on a 21 pitch laser II and the boat was a little sluggish out of the hole and only turned 5000 rpm's. I then put on a 19 pitch mirage and the hole shot is totally awesome. Instant planing. However I didn't see any improvement in the rpm's or miles an hour. 46 gps with both. I am now going to try a 19 pitch laser II. The mirage has a massive blade and a larger diameter and is too much to turn. I have to believe that you probably won't be able to gain anymore miles per hour with your rig. Your speeds are what I'm hoping to get. I'll keep you posted on my results.
