I have a 99 1785 Wangler with a 99 150 V-MAX. I love the boat, but hate having to live with their inhereantly weak transoms. The boat is the only boat manufacture that has NO bracing other then the splashwell that I have seen. There has been some post on transoms going out on this boat that I have seen. If you buy this boat do not put a jackplate on it . Even if you get Yar-Crafts pro staff telling you they have them on their boats. There are boat manufactures out there that will not warranty jackplates on their boats and they have a ton of bracing in them already. How can a boat with NO bracing expect to last long term. Look back in the archives(about three mounths or so) for " If I owned Yar-Craft" You be the judge. You have people telling me I'm full of crap and don't have a clue. Then ALL of the bass boat manufactures don't have a clue. Because all I did is look at every band bass boat that I could find in a 50 mile radius and find out what and why they were doing what they were doing. You be the judge. Also I had to add another layer of foam in all the lids because they did not seal right. Other then the transom issue, There is another issue that I think Yar-Craft needs to deal with, Have a dual vented gas tank. The gas tank is a spitter. It spits out of the vent tube that is in the cap assembly. I would like to see two vents on the outside of the boat. Would I buy another Yar-Craft??? YES! IF they would build a better stonger transom!!!!!! This boat needs setback big time! Also 5 more inches beam and 175 rated would be nice too!!! It seems that I'm the only one that answered ,so if you have any other ??? let me know. I will be away for about a week + fishing

Why don't you sell the dam boat so we don't have to listen to your belly-aching.....

If you go back to the archives, they are pretty interesting. Tom P is a firecracker waiting to go off. It's pretty funny how he say's he's got a Yar Craft and he will buy another one, but then he will rip it to shreads. Take what he says with a grain of salt.
I've got a Yar Craft, and they are a solid boat, ride great, and Yar Craft has top notch customer service.

Here we go again!!!
Do not put a lot of faith in the negative post. I have an 1895 storm series and from my experience, you will really like your YarCraft.

I have the same boat. I have a 1999 1785 Mille Lacs. I like the boat alot. It is a smooth and dry ride. Yar Craft customer service has been very good. I am going to sell it at the end of the year and probably buy a Yar Craft Storm. I would not hesitate to get that boat.

Tom:
Just for your info, the Wrangler model was first introduced in 2000. Yours is the first that I have heard of, and I live on Lake Winnebago, where the lake has no "Mercy", and there are a lot of 1785 model boats, to include the New Wrangler.
I believe Yar Craft has the strongest transom of any boat out there!

PS: I run the 1895 Storm TSC, and won Lake Erie in 12ft waves, when others went in early!
