Any idea on gas mileage? 150 vs. 200 (opti. vs. EFI), etc.

Just curious if there is info. available on gas mileage for various motors. Specifically I'm looking to compare Optimax vs. EFI and 150 vs. 175 200 and 225. I would also be interested to see what the Yams run, specifically the HPDI. I keep hearing the Opti is better than EFI, etc. But, how much better?

I realize boat weight and WOT vs. slow, etc. play a major role in gas mileage. There must be a standard way to measure gas mileage that the motor manufacturers use... Anyone? TIA, Dan

The Yamaha web site has gas milage and performance specs for the full operating range on many of their outboards (idle to WOT).
