I just bought the 2000 last week and tried testing it on Monday. It is still to early to tell if this is a good unit or not,but the place where I bought it from is going to give me 30 days to try it out.I will keep you posted. Dean PS make sure if you buy one that it has the white line feature on the controls menu.If it does'nt you will have to send it into the factory for a software upgrade.

Yes, I would be interested in feedback concerning this unit. I just installed it on my boat. I had the boat out twice and I'm going to do some adjusting on the transducer. I marked some bait fish or something suspended in the water which my Eagle did not show. I had an Eagle that came with the boat and I decided to upgrade. I hope I did that. I never did mark a fish that an arch showed on the screen. I also got some clutter running at high speed. So I'm not sure if the transducer needs adjusted or if I have motor interference at high speed. I have yet to mark anything in the RTS window. So at this time I'm hoping there may be some operator error.

RB,
I'm in the same position as you, still trying to get my transducer adjusted properly. I like the zercom's features. Is your transducer on a glass boat or aluminum? Mine is a Lund tyee, and I think I have to drop the transducer down some more. I lowered it once already, kept losing depth at higher speed. Have it about 1/4 inch below transom right now. Did you have to tilt your transducer any?
Take care,

Brad

Have had the Zercom LPG in my boat since February. I don't know what you expect out of the graph speed at high speed in the boat, when the boat speed in 60 mph you are covering 88 feet per second. I have done really well with the unit in the boat, good enough that I have been called a liar, we put 43 keepers in the boat in 10 days at Sauk City, WI dam in February. Have seen nice arches with this unit although the Humminbird style transducer is a little tough to get adjusted properly on my light boat. Last week I graphed 4-10 inch crappies suspended in 10 ft of water, did not show a full arch- probably fish trying to get away from my boat. When I got this unit I looked at a few others- Lowrance LMS350, Garmin 240, Tournament Master HR. Basically picked the Zercom because it was the easiest for me to use, and the only time it makes noise is when you change control panel settings. I would still like to see these 4 units in 1 boat for a true comparison in the water

I dont mean this to sound like I am bashing this particular brand of sonar, but I told you guys I would keep you posted on the pros and cons of this unit. The first of two 2000's I had would start getting blurry when turned on for more than 10 minutes. The second one I tested this weekend and had poor results. It seems that the unit I had could not take the pounding that most walleye fisherman would put them through. While fishing lake traverse in 1'waves,not very rough at all,the unit would shut down on every other wave.To start the unit back up you had to unplug the power plug on the back of the unit and restart.Maybee this particular unit is a lemon, but it is going back for either a pinpoint 7520 or a lowrance x-85. I do not intend to bash any product,I only intend to relay my experience with this brand. Dean

I have adjusted the transducer by angling it down more in the back. However I still have not had an arch on the screen to indicate a fish. My next move would be to lower the tranducer a little more below the boat. I have trouble believing that an 1/8 to a 1/4 of an inch is going to make that much difference. Other than that (which is a major problem) the unit works fine. I like the detail one can get of the bottom. Any suggestions on transducer adjustment would be apprecriated.
