Nate,

I'd suggest that you try Rainy lake for a camping-fishing trip. I bet if you got on the stick and brought home some top notch grades this last month, your Dad would take you. Work on that algebra!...every day!

Leech Lake -- in a class by itself.

Cisco, I gotta agree with you I love that lake, although if he would have said Leech or LOW I would have said LOW. Not to fond of fishing the American part but I enjoy fishing in Nestor Falls and Sioux Narrows. In my opinion it's in a class by itself as for fishing multi-species.

We're coming from Ohio to Maple Hill Resort on Clearwater Lake near Annandale. It's proximity to the twin cities and resort features attracted us and we were very pleased with the fishing 2 years ago. Check www.mapleresort.com. There is lots better fishing elsewhere in the state, but you post did not say what you were looking for - Northwoods or more urban. Have a safe trip. m

Yep, I'm with Cisco on that lake choice. Truely a great lake with lots of variety to offer both on and off the water.

Are you looking to tent camp, camper camp or hotel/resort it?

Check out the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for all the info you want and more. http://www.leech-lake.com
