Saturday night in Oswego NY I had the pleasure of meeting Todd Frank. He is a great person to talk with, very fisherman friendly. He is a great spokesman for the professional walleye fisherman everywhere. He was guiding 2 clients and we talked from boat to boat in the river on many passes, he never cut me or anyone off, and was happy to answer some questions on spring walleye fishing at night. I let him know that it is great to have a PWT winner from NY and wished him luck in all the tournaments he fishes this year. I have to say I was surprised to see a pro fishing here. When I left Todd was still fishing his *** off trying to catch those monster eyes of Oswego. JJ

So John..How was the fishing? I spent the weekend pounding the Susquehanna here at home. I think the recent high water destroyed the spring fishing here. No one I talked to caught or saw any walleye taken. It was a pleasant weekend and I did catch fish, but no walleyes. I think it's Oneida next weekend! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Fishing was tuff, high winds friday midnight made it hard to keep the boat moving slow. Harbor area was unfishable with 4 footer's. I did land a 7.5 lb eye and my fishing partner lost 2 eyes. We did not get a strike saturday night as it was cold, in the 30's. Be back this weekend to look for more. Not many boats out for the 1st weekend of walleye season. JJ

JJ... I knew he was from up in that area, I think he also fishes the spot up there I go to out of Mud Bay.

If I remember the story correctly Todd won a PWT event by finding a hot bite---from shore!

I got fish on Chautauqua no braggin size but quite a bit of action. Water temps are near 60 already, we didnt have that last year till June.

Gilligan,
I will let you know how I make out this weekend. Glad to here you caught fish on your home lake. I am looking for a double digit fish, and have to put my money on Oswego. Will be fishing there till mid June this year on weekends. Stay healthy and see you in August at the WC get-together in Barcelona NY. JJ
