All -

It seems like the Diawa line counter reels are pretty popular, but I was wondering if anyone has used the Cabelas digital line counters and if so, what you think of them? The prices seem to be pretty close. Any feedback would be greatly apprciated.

Do yourself a favor buy the Diawas.

Cabelas sells alot of nice items.

Thier reels is NOT one of them.

Bought 4 two years ago lasted one month !

TOO bad, nice idea but built like CR@P !

GOOD LUCK

I agree they had a pile of them in the return room last time I was in Owatonna. That is a good sign that guys are not happy with them. Kind of like that cordless Minnkota get something that does't use batteries. Good luck fishing.

Yes, they had problems with them little while ago......but they have replaced mine and I'm satisfied with them.Less bulky than the rest. The design of the braking has changed...
Daiwa has better drag and I like mechanical counter over electronic.
Would work for walleye, but for salmon go Daiwa.
