Loaded my accessories software on the computer. Can't seem to find power supply for the x-15 unit.. Isn't this system suppose to be like the lms-160, where you can bring the unit into the house and run it while sitting at your computer????? Please tell me what I'm missing.

I have my created map loaded on the little 8meg memory card. But I can't get some of my old waypoints form my 350A to enter into the "Create Waypoint" feature of the Create-a-Map softeware. The waypts from the 350A are in Degrees/Minutes mode... The Create-a-Map software will only accept Degrees/Minutes/Seconds. Yet the X-15 manual shows several diagrams in the manual where the unit is clearly in the degrees/minutes mode...Tried to find fix in menu from Create-a-Map softeware.... What am I missing????????

WORSE YET.....
New boat isn't here yet and there's no way for me to turn on the unit other then hooking up to the computer...

ANY help would be Greatly appreciated!!!

I brought mine in the house, using the battery to run it .I think you have to buy a hook up for it ,not too sure. That is what the interface is for. When in map create you have to punch each waypoint in.Thats the way lowrance told me??

I called Lowrance and asked this question. They told me the only accessory is the MMC reader. So apparently there is no way to bring it in the house and run the X15 connected to your computer. I suppose you could use a 12v power supply? But then it isn't actually connected to the computer.

You can store graph output to a MMC, put the MMC into the reader and watch it on your computer.

If my understanding is not true, someone please fill us in.

I had a Eagle Accumap 12 that had all my waypoints and icons, so I downloaded them to the old Mapcreate program that came with the Accumap unit. After installing the new Mapcreate5 in a different directory you start the new Mapcreate program. Click on "FILE" to bring down the menu and select "OPEN GPS DATA", from there you goto your old Mapcreate directory and find the GDM16MS directory. Select the file that you created with the waypoints and icons from the old Mapcreate (it will have a .low extention). Now you click on "COMMUNICATIONS" and select "OPEN PARRALLEL PORT" then click on "TRANSFER DATA" to download them to your MMC card then insert it into the X-15, and from the menu select load data to the X-15.
