25 merc fuel pump

Thanks Don for the info. My 25 horse 1993 merc tiller was bogging out when I gave it full throttle, I checked the carb and it was clean as a whistle. So I took it to the lake, gave it full throttle, when it started bogging out I squeezed the primer bulb. All of a sudden it ran great, that puppy is fast! So now what, order a new fuel pump from the merc dealer? Is it just a diaphram, or what? Could the problem possibly be something else? Thanks a bunch...Dan

Go to your nearest merc dealer and order a fuel pump, on my 1995 25 merc,the fuel pump is integrated right into the carburator.Also did you check your fuel filter.Check that first before ordering a new fuel pump.On my merc, yes it is a diapram type but I don't know for sure what the 1993 had for fuel pumps but the dealer can tell you.
