View Full Version : Pulling wire to console on Ranger 619
I need to pull a few wires to the console area of my Ranger 619 (2000). There is an open access area on the starbaord gunwale under the drivers console. I want to run wires to the battery so I have an "always on" connection for a motion alarm system I want to install. When I am charging the batteries, I switch off power to the console fuse panel with a "master switch" located in the battery compartment. Because of that I need to pull some always "hot" wires. Anyone know the best way to do this? I found the console opening, but can seem to find opening on the battery end. Thanks.

I had to pull some wires on my lund I used to own and they left an extra wire to pull more through with, If Ranger doesn't have an extra wire, disconect a wire and use it to pull a few extras through

TJ,
There are Tubes that run under the gunnel of the 619 that go
from the back of the boat to the access panel under the dash you get to them by removing the access on the back deck.
if you have a wire fish it's very easy (you can use any stiff wire), it gets tight around the driver controls.
There are holes from the battery compartment to the rear of the boat. I ran a pair of #10's on my 619.
If you have a questions you can send me an email

Good luck

Bullhead42:
Thanks for the advice. I assume the access on the back deck that you refer to is the round black plastic one. Right? I've been in there before to "T" off the fuel line for my kicker.
