I have been thinking about fishing the RCL at Devils Lake as an armature. Are there any open spots available as an Am?

I'm from the Pacific Northwest, and I have never fish in the mid-west. Out here, the walleye fishing can be good in September. I am usually pulling Crankbaits or Trolling spinners and occasionally casting jigs.

I'm sure it’s not very different, but is this the same tactics that will be used at Devils Lake this time of year?

I have always wanted to fish one of these events PWT/RCL as an Am. I have heard a lot of good stuff, and am excited to go.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure there are spots still open for Devils Lake as a Co-angler. I'm not sure about what tactics are going to work there because I've never fished it, thus I hope to learn alot.
You can call the RCL at 270-362-5259 or 270-362-5226 and talk to Sonny to find out if there are any openings. I've got reservations already at the Trails West Motel which is one that a number of pros are staying at. Let me know if you want to share the room to cut expenses.

I enjoy fishing there and will be out on the 27th of August. If you are going to be there early let me know and fish with me for a day. A Ranger 620 is what I run.
