Water Boy

This boat is suppose to be a Walleye boat but has the profile of a bass boat! Can this boat handle rough water without waves coming over the bow? What length bow mount trolling motors comes with it? It appears, from what I read on previous posts, that the bow is pretty light and requires some kind of stabilzer on the engine to keep the boat from porpoising. Is this correct and the only way? Common on Triton owners, or other knowledgeable boaters, give your opinions on the boat!!!
I have a 205 which is the same boat only 1 1/2' longer. Yes, in realy rough water 3-4' waves I will get some water over the bow. But the boat takes the big waives good. My wife feels comfurtable in it, and that's all that matters to me. It is a good multi purpose boat. I have fished Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Winnebago, to small resevivors back home.
WB:
I run a 189DC and yes it is a dry comfortable ride. I spend the majority of my time bass fishing from it. Living in the Great Lakes region, I personally would never own a bassboat, they just don't handle big water like the walleye/multi-species boats. With the rear casting deck in place, it's an incredibly versatile rig.
I want to order another, so if you're interested, mine is for sale.
W,B, Just to let you know Triton has changed there hull for 2002 on both the 205 and the 189. They added more hook to the padds for a faster hole shot, added a bait well in front, alarger place for electronics on the console, they also bumped up the horse power rateing on the 189 to a 200. By the way the 205 is the dryest and best rideing boat I have been in. Just my two cents worth,

I don't think they added a baitwell in the front. I talked to Paul Reiger at the factory a couple weeks ago and he said they simply put the bait bucket hole in the back of the livewell instead in the forward portion of the livewell like it is now. Makes sense, more water will stay on the bait when running. He also mentioned the longer pad and more room on the helm for accessories. Have you placed your order yet?
D189, I just talked to Mike Konart, he was the one telling me of the changes. He also said they made the consols to except both types of windsheilds, say if you had a D,C, boat and you wanted to switch to a walk through it will bolt right on. I have not sold my 205 yet, so as soon as I get some money down I will be ordering a 189 with a 200 HPDI and no carpet. Thanks for your reply.
