I have had this boat for six weeks and been up to the dealer twice 2 get the so called air lock fixed on both the front and the rear boxes. The problem is if they are empty and you try to fill them they won't pump water. Solution for now is to dump 5-10 gls. of water in them then turn the valve to empty and the pump switch on at the same time. Water will eventually start to pump, then you turn the valve to fill and everything is fine. Now when you get ready to run to a different hole or move out to drift the flat again, you have to start the sequence all over again. I don't think LUND has a picture in the brochure with a guy standing in his boat with a shiny 5 gallon bucket and a nice LUND sticker on it filling his livewells. It sure doesn't make me feel very proud either. Oh yeah putting the motor in reverse doesn't work.
Any help on this problem would be appreciated

I know what you are talking about, I just leave my levers on fill all the time and to empty just pull the plug and to recirculate I leave them on auto after filling on manual. I've talked to other guys about this and they came up with the same thing. I have an 1890PRO-V but I'm sure the wells are similar give it a shot.

I have a 1775 Pro V and had the exact problem. The dealer said that Lund coils the feedline and air gets trapped in it. I took it in and they sliced out 3-5" of line (I can check with them for sure) and it total took care of the problem. Talk with your dealer and if he has any questions, Have him talk with Bill at Kennedy Marine in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I cut out an inch and a half of hose between the pump and the sprayhead on my Ranger, all airlock problems cured, there was just enough of a sag in the line to cause the constant airlock. Check into the archives, July 7, 2000 to be exact, airlock problemms explained very good by Roger from flow-rite

I have owned Lund, Alumacraft, Star Craft and have the same problems. With my Lunds, the way you you get the air lock out is to back the boat up kinda fast and that will push the water into the intake. If I run across the lake on my Lund on Fill the water will start running out of the livewell so a I have to leave it on recir.........
